By now you all should know that La Hacienda is one of my favorite restaurants of all times. Even before my blogging days, La Hacienda was always a top choice for any celebration in our household; date nights, anniversaries, birthdays, you name it.
It is one of our favorite restaurants not only because of the crave-worthy food but also because of the ambiance, the great selection of tequila, the music and the people that work there; the servers pretty much know us by name.
There is a pretty exciting event coming up this weekend; La Hacienda will be hosting their first Mexican Tequila Standoff; a cocktail-making contest where guests will vote for their favorite drink while enjoying a tapas style dinner crafted by La Hacienda’s executive Chef Forest Hamrick.
One of the things that set La Hacienda apart from any other Mexican restaurant is tequila expert Katie Schnurr, La Hacienda’s Tequila Goddess. Katie is both gorgeous and knowledgeable about tequila. She has traveled several times to Mexico to learn about the craft from master tequila makers.
Katie Schnurr will be facing off Dustin Bolin from Nook and Phil Clark from Bluehound Kitchen and Cocktails, each of them will create a special cocktail and guest will be the judges and decide who takes the crown in this contest.
Head over to the Fairmont this weekend and be part of this event, if I were you, I’d also book a room and enjoy an overnight stay at The Princess, that way you can sip tequila and enjoy the night, sounds like a perfect romantic getaway, right?!
