When my husband is in town, we usually make time to meet up with friends and have a double date night. We look for places that are laid back, nearby and of course, have amazing food.
Since I have visited Salty Sow before but none of our friends and my husband had, I know this place would be the perfect spot to host our monthly outing. We love to discover new places that have a great ambiance, lovely decor, good lighting (for insta pics!) and obviously great food. Let me tell you, Salty Sow checks all the boxes.
It was my husband’s and our friends first time at Salty Sow, I raved about the amazing meats, delightful cocktails and incredible appetizers. They all loved dinner and can’t wait to repeat the experience.
The “Must Haves”
Whenever you visit Salty Sow or its sister restaurant concept Roaring Fork, you must have their Green Chili Pork Stew. It is amazing! The right amount of heat, incredibly flavorful pork, nachos and cheese. It’s the perfect appetizer and something you have to have, otherwise, your experience isn’t complete.
Another item that made my “Must Have” list is their Sparkling Sangria; a mix of elderflower liquor, bubbles, lemon, lime, orange, grapes and opal basil. It’s light, a bit on the sweet side but I could have drunk many more of these than I did. Seriously delicious!
The Vibes
This place is well decorated, with beautiful natural light coming through the windows. I love all the iron details on the doors and the beautiful woodwork on the walls. I highly recommend going during the day if you want to take stunning pictures of your food, but if you are not an Insta pic kind of person like me, the beautiful patio with string lights is the place to be right now thanks to the amazing Arizona Fall weather.
