I'm always searching for good places to have a date night; good ambience, great drinks and outstanding food. I have found it all in one place and I couldn't be more excited about it.
I am married to a picky eater, so finding a place where steak and potatoes are great is must because that's all my picky husband likes. Or so I thought! In our most recent date night experience we visited Ocean Prime and I couldn't believe that my husband tried their house salad and loved it and even ate a piece of sushi for the very first time in his life!
We started with drinks. I had the berries and bubbles; delicious, beautiful and perfect to start the night. For an appetizer we had the most flavorful shrimp ever. Garlic, butter and shrimp are the perfect combo but when paired with Parmesan bread, it's just unbelievably good!

We moved to the house salad and this was the first surprise of the night. My husband ate it! And I don't blame him, It was scrumptious! Apples, candied nuts and blue cheese on a bed of lettuce.

I really wanted to try their sushi but didn't want to be stuffed, so I didn't order it. But I couldn't resist! I'm a sushi lover. This carpaccio sushi was absolutely delicious; cream cheese, scallions, shrimp and carpaccio on top. I am glad I didn't skip this!

For entrees my husband ordered bone in filet mignon, which is now his new favortie thing. The flavor and tenderness of the beef does not compare to any we had before.

I wanted to order a filet mignon too but I also wanted to try seafood. So I went for the sea bass and I couldn't have been happier with my choice. The tenderness and flavor of this fish were out of this world.

The side dishes were all great, our favorite was the jalapeño augratin potatoes. Not spicy but with a nice kick.

We also tried the creamed corn and the twice baked potato, everything was absolutely decadent.

And as you all know, my favorite part is dessert! Ocean Prime has the best peanut butter chocolate cake I have ever tried and their 10 layer carrot cake with cream cheese frosting is definitely a must have.
