Thanksgiving gravy

This Thanksgiving gravy recipe is made with turkey drippings for a flavorful and delightful sauce to accompany your Thanksgiving meal.

- 6 Tablespoons unsalted butter ¾ stick
- 1 Tablespoon Avocado oil or any neutral oil
- ½ cup Yellow onion Diced
- 3 Garlic cloves Minced
- 6 Tablespoons All purpose flour
- 4 cups Chicken stock
- 2 Thyme sprigs
- 2 Sage leaves
- Turkey drippings
In a sauce pan melt the butter and add the avocado oil.
Add the onion and sauté for about 10 minutes, stirring constantly until the onion is slightly caramelized.
Add the minced garlic and cook for one more minute.
Add the flour and using a whisk start mixing until a thick paste forms.
Continue whisking as you add the chicken stock. Bring to a boil and then lower the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes.
Add the turkey pan drippings and whisk until fully combined. Reduce to the desired thickness.
Serve and enjoy.
