Loaded with melted cheese and infused with savory garlic butter, this golden baked bread is the ultimate cheesy appetizer.

This classic appetizer is irresistible and so easy to make. The bread gets toasted to perfection and smothered in garlic butter and gooey cheese.
Ingredients

- Bread: Use a French baguette, Italian bread or sourdough batard. I used a sourdough loaf for this recipe and loved the flavor.
- Garlic: Use fresh garlic for best results here.
- Softened butter: I use unsalted butter.
- Cheese: a combo of mozzarella and cheddar works great.
- Seasoning: Garlic powder, onion powder and salt to enhance the flavors.
- Garnish: I like to use parsley but chives are also a great option.
Instructions
Preheat your oven and get a baking sheet.
In a small dish combine the minced garlic with the butter, garlic powder and salt.
Slice the bread in half lengthwise and spread the butter evenly between the 2 pieces of bread.
Top it with the cheese and bake it until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Storage and reheating
This cheesy garlic bread is best when enjoyed freshly made.
If you have any leftover, store in an airtight container.
To reheat, use the air fryer or the oven at 200F until the cheese melts again.
