The Westin Phoenix, the place to stay while in Downtown

We recently stayed in the Westin Phoenix Downtown after a concert (hello Prince Royce!) and I was so impressed by what the hotel offered that I had to share it with all of you! If you’ve ever stayed in a Westin hotel, you already know how sophisticated and elegant the properties are. This boutique-style urban hotel in the heart of the city is no different. (Regardless of subtle differences, I know I’ll have a high-quality experience each time I stay at a Westin, no matter what city I travel to.)

Warm welcome at The Westin Phoenix

Westin Phoenix Downtown features an outdoor terrace pool, WestinWORKOUT® Fitness Studio, and 242 spacious guestrooms with panoramic views of the city, bordered by the breathtaking mountain landscape. It’s located near the METRO light rail station, allowing guests to easily access nearby sports stadiums, concert venues, museums, restaurants and Arizona State University. Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is also close by. For these reasons, I’d highly recommend the hotel to out-of-town visitors. It has all the amenities you need, the views are postcard-worthy, and there’s no guess work when it comes to getting around.

View of Downtown Phoenix

Westin Phoenix Downtown provides nothing short of an upscale experience when it comes to their rooms. Each is modern, with clean lines, warm hues, and all white linens. Even the smallest room is 540 square feet with higher-than-average ceilings, bigger than some apartments in New York City! If you prefer a little more room to spread out when you travel, these accommodations are especially for you. The corner suites feature tons of floor-to-ceiling windows, deep soaking tubs, large couches and more than 740 square feet of room to live in!
Make your room a little more luxurious with an in-room massage or order edible treats ranging from antioxidant-power snacks and fruit, to decadent desserts and champagne, to be delivered.

When you’re ready for a real meal, head to Province Urban Kitchen and Bar within the hotel for fine dining in a relaxed atmosphere, featuring local, farm-to-table cuisine. Stop by Province Express in the morning for a breakfast burrito and a Starbucks coffee, or Westin Fresh by The Juicery for juices and smoothies.

Continental breakfast

During your stay, be sure to take a dip in the heated, saltwater Lapis Pool or just lounge poolside at this rooftop escape.

Want to take advantage of their awesome fitness center but didn’t bring your gym clothes? Westin will loan you New Balance shoes and apparel for just $5 for your entire stay! No need to take up room in your suitcase or worry about laundry! (Rest assured they replace all shoe insoles monthly and clean the shoes with anti-bacterial solution after every use.)

Wellness is in every corner at The Westin

And they’re pet friendly! The Westin Phoenix Downtown will allow up to two dogs weighing less than 40 pounds each, and just ask that you don’t leave them alone in your room. They’ll even provide a complimentary Westin Heavenly Dog Bed and food bowl for use during your visit. How cute is that?
Finally, Westin values conserving water and energy, so they’ll reward you with a $5 voucher for participating restaurants at check-out for each night that you decline housekeeping. They save nearly 50 gallons of water when guests decline housekeeping for just one night, which is important especially in the desert.
