4th of July Dessert Board

This dessert board celebrates the colors of the American flag featuring fruits and snacks with red, white and blue hues.

Cottage cheese fruit dip
- 2 cups Cottage cheese 16 ounce container
- ½ cup Condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
Fruits
- 1 Green apple
- ¼ Watermelon Sliced and cut with star shaped cookie cutters
- 1 pint Blueberries about 1 cup
- 1 pint Raspberries about 1 cup
- 1 pint Strawberries
Snacks
- 1 cup Yogurt covered pretzels
- 6 Macarons red, white and blue
- 1 Loaf Blueberry bread or banana bread
- Mint for garnish
Make the cottage cheese dip
Add the cottage cheese, condensed milk and vanilla extract to a container or food processor and blend until smooth.
2 cups Cottage cheese, ½ cup Condensed milk, 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
Prepare the fruit
Cut the watermelon and apple into star shaped cuts.
1 Green apple, ¼ Watermelon
Wash the berries and slice the strawberries in half for the display.
1 pint Blueberries, 1 pint Raspberries, 1 pint Strawberries
Assemble the board
Cut the loaf into slices or chunks and place it in the center of the wood baord.
1 Loaf Blueberry bread
Add the fruits around it in small clusters alternating colors and shapes.
Add the pretzels and macarons and place the dip in a corner of the board.
1 cup Yogurt covered pretzels, 6 Macarons
Serve and enjoy. I like to serve mine in parfait or trifle mini cups alternating layers of the dip, fruit, and bread.
