Spa day lunch at Joya Omni Montelucia

Spa day is one of those treats that I like to give to myself from time to time. A little me time to unwind and relax is the perfect way to recharge my batteries and deal with hectic days, which are pretty much every single day in my life.

Joya spa

Joya spa at the Omni Montelucia hotel is one of my favorite spots when it comes to enjoying a spa day. It must be the Spanish and morrocan influence of the spa, visiting Morroco is one of the items on my bucket list. I’m drown to the beautiful architecture, the detail, the art of the Morrocan style and you can see it in every corner at Joya. beautiful doors, fountains, furniture and lamps will make you feel like you just took a day trip to Casablanca or Marrakech.

I recently spent a day at Joya with a group of friends, which made the whole spa experience even more fabulous! Twelve of my friends and I took over Joya for a day filled with massages, facials, champagne and of course, great food.

As you enter the spa, you encounter a beautiful foyer with a gorgeous staircase. Beautiful lamps hang from the ceiling to make the picture even more grandiose. When you walk in, you pass one long corridor with beautiful art work and your first stop is a beautiful stone where you place a tiny rock with your intention for the day. Then you walk into another room where there is another stone in the center, you place your hands on it, it will change colors, will turn blue, white, purple and the purpose it’s to clean your aura.

The spa has 20 private rooms for massages, a cozy seating area with tea, fruit and flavored waters adorned with ruby red velvet couches, fancy right?

A hot pool, sauna and steam room are the indoor amenities that the spa offers. It also has a whisper room with cabana style beds, designated to relax and chat.

The outdoors is as gorgeous as the indoors, with Camelback mountain as a back drop, the pool and restaurant area are perfect to enjoy lunch, go for a swim or just relax and enjoy the view.

Food at Joya spa

For lunch we ordered pretty much every single item on the menu! Lucky me, I got to try it and photograph it all, my friends already know that they can’t touch their food until I snap a picture, thank you guys, I love you!

Sliders with sweet potato tots

The menu is quite healthy, lots of delicious options with a healthy twist to it. You can find from salads to tacos.

As I said I got to try bites of every single thing, food was delicious! The sliders and the sweet potato tots were quite popular at our table but you can’t go wrong with anything you order.

I can’t wait to go back to Joya and take another day off to relax and enjoy two of the things that make my heart happy; friends and food.
