Brunch is definitely my favorite meal and finding good spots to eat brunch is my number one hobby. I met Jennifer at the last Arizona Food and Wine festival, her creativity and the way she displayed the dishes caught my eye. Her food, especially dessert were one of my favorite things at the show.
I have been wanting to try her brunch menu for a while and it finally happened a couple of weeks ago. The Market is located in Central Phoenix, one of the gastronomic hot spots of Arizona. With a simple, eclectic and homey decor, The Market is a great casual dining option.
The brunch menu features a great variety of traditional Mexican dishes and new American Cuisine. All the produce used is locally sourced as well as the cheeses and milk.
So brunch started with bottomless mimosas and chilaquiles on a bed of green tomatillo sauce, chicken and tortilla, topped with a perfectly cooked over easy egg and garnished with queso fresco. I smothered it in Homeboys green chile sauce. It was filling and flavorful.

The Market also offers healthy but delicious options for Brunch like this kale and quinoa salad, refreshing and light, it's a staple of modern American cuisine. The salad is dressed in a brown butter vinaigrette that is delicious and pairs beautifully with locally sourced chèvre cheese.

Since I have a major sweet tooth I couldn't resist the urge to try the beignets. Made of sweet ricotta, these donut-looking goodies are to die for! The orange zest and quark dipping sauce was decadent. They were the perfect sweet end to a great weekend's brunch.
