This year Bourbon Steak House, at The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess will celebrate the Kentucky Derby with its annual lawn party on May 6th from 1pm to 5pm.

Guest will enjoy a traditional southern-inspired featuring all the Derby Day favorites like shrimp & grits, Kentucky hot brown, Derby pie and mint juleps.

Bourbon Steak's Annual Kentucky Derby Lawn Party is a see-and-be-seen event.

It is the perfect opportunity to wear your bold hats, flowery spring dresses and cute heels. Men also get to play dress up and wear pastel colored suits and fashionable hats.

Culinary Experience

The food is just as important as the fashion and guest will enjoy a Southern-inspired menu crafted by Executive Chef Sara Garrant .

This year's Derby spread will include smoked Andouille sausage sliders, Kentucky Hot Browns, smoked potato salad with sherry bacon jam and hot and spicy glazed shrimp with creamy polenta just to name a few dishes.

For dessert, guest will enjoy an array of Southern delicacies including Derby pie, carrot cupcakes, apple-rhubarb crumble and grits pie.

The Race

At Fairmont Scottsdale, guest will enjoy the "fastest two minutes in sports" all thought the venue with plasma screens.

Each guest will have the opportunity to select a ticket with a horse name. If you are the lucky winner (you picked the race winner horse) you could win amazing prizes including overnight stays at Fairmont Scottsdale Princess.
