One of my favorite festivals is coming up soon; the 2018 Spring Tempe Festival of the Arts.
Last year was my very first time attending this festival, one of the most anticipated events in Arizona. If you are not familiar with this one of a kind family friendly event, read my recap of the Fall Tempe Festival of the Arts.
2018 Spring Tempe Festival of the Arts
This event features lots of activities including food trucks, wine and beer tastings and lots of unique visual art.
Wine tasting
Of course one of my favorite spots was the beer and wine garden. It was great to enjoy local wines from all over Arizona and local brews.
The food was amazing too! The list of food vendors included yellowman fry bread, Hawaiian fried noodles, BBQ, organic cotton candy and many more. Seriously there is something for everyone!

Where?
Mill Avenue, the heart of Tempe, will be the perfect backdrop for this venue. Check out all the available means of transportation to avoid traffic. Last year I used the light rail to get from Downtown Phoenix and it was a breeze.
When?
The spring version of the Tempe Festival of the Arts will go from Friday, March 23rd to Sunday, March 25th of 2018. So make sure you mark your calendar and plan to attend this free, family-friendly and kid approved event.

Insider Tips:
I want to share with you some tips to make the most out of your time and make your experience more enjoyable.
- Use public transportation: There are lots of options to get there hassle free, I opted for using the light rail and it was the best thing ever.
- Check the weather: This year we have had a few weeks of super chilly weather, so make sure you check your weather app to wear the appropriate clothing as this is an outdoors event. Wear hat, glasses, and sunscreen no matter what the temperature is.
- Bring a bottle of water with you that way you avoid overspending during the event as water tends to be pricey.
- Wear comfortable shoes. This is probably the most important thing to consider. You will be walking around a lot. While you can always stop and sit down along the trail, you will also want to see and try everything and there are so many things to see there that you will be walking a lot.
