Staycation at JW Marriott Desert Ridge

What can you expect from a Staycation at JW Marriott Desert Ridge? Nothing but an amazing time!

The beautiful grounds of the JW Marriott Desert Ridge are the perfect scenario to unwind and relax. There is plenty of greenery, space to play, lounge and recharge your energy.

We enjoyed an overnight stay in early March and we can't wait to go back.

Pools and Lazy River

The pool area is our favorite. We spent the majority of our time playing at the lazy river which is perfect for kids and adults when you just want to lounge.

We had a beautiful pool suite in front of the lazy river and the amenities were absolutely phenomenal. There are 6 pool suites available for rent with special pricing from Monday to Thursday.

The pool suites are equipped with AC which was great to cool down. There is an indoor seating area with TV, a mini bar and a private bathroom.

The outdoor patio also has a TV and seating space with lounging chairs. It was great to go back and forth between the spaces and cool down as needed.

Food and Drinks

The food at the resort is exceptional. From poolside food to their sit-down restaurants, the flavors and quality meet high standards.

This time we dined at Meritage, An Urban Tavern. Beautiful setting with an outdoor patio with a beautiful view of the golf course.

My steak was cooked to perfection, tender and full of flavor. Their bread for the table with whipped butter was outstanding and the bread pudding for dessert was the perfect ending to an amazing meal.

Meritage is currently closed but Stonegrill and Twenty6 lounge are open.

When you eat by the pool, you need to try their signature Prickly Pear Margarita. It will not only be delicious but perfect to snap a beautiful picture.

We ordered the veggie crudités with hummus, the Mexican street fries (amazing) and their pulled pork sandwich.

Learn, Work & Play package

With distance working and learning, the resort has created spaces suitable to meet the needs of parents and kids to meet their daily schedule while having fun.

The resort's ballrooms offer the perfect "homeschool" setting for kids, with spaced out seating and high speed internet for virtual learning.

This new package just launched and will be available through December 31, 2020.
