If you love one pot meals that are hearty you will definitely love this recipe.
This creation is inspired by yourbarefootneighbor on TikTok.
Ingredients
You can tweak this recipe to your liking and add your own spin. I tried to follow the recipe as shared on TikTok but will definitely make some adjustments next time I make it.
- Chicken: You can use a rotisserie chicken for convenience. I used 2 chicken breasts I cooked on my Instantpot.
- Red Lobster Biscuit Mix: This will give the top crust to our pot pie style dish.
- Cream of chicken: This will help moisten all the ingredients in our chicken casserole.
- Carrots and peas: A bag of frozen carrots and peas is what the original creator used. You use use your favorite veggie mix. This will also be great with broccoli.
- Milk: Full fat milk to stir our biscuit mix.
- Chicken stock: This will add extra flavor and help all the ingredients cook evenly.
- Butter: to prevent the chicken from sticking to the bottom of the baking dish.
Instructions
This chicken cobbler comes together quickly. Use rotisserie chicken for an even quicker meal.
Fist melt the butter and add it to the bottom of your baking dish. Layer the cooked chicken and add the bag of frozen veggies.
In a separate bowl, mix the Red Lobster cheddar biscuit mix with the milk and pour it on top of the chicken and veggies mix.
In another bowl, mix the cream of chicken soup and the chicken stock until well combined. Pour it over the chicken mixture.
Follow the steps without mixing the ingredients, just pour and layer them as is. It looks off but trust the process.
What to serve with chicken cobbler
This dish is a meal on its own. You can compliment this dish with a nice fresh salad and you are all set.
A nice fresh romaine salad with caesar dressing or arugula with lemon and parmesan cheese would go great with this dish.

Yummy! My husband has been bugging me to make this after having it at his nephews house.
Of course I did make changes. Used frozen mixed vegetables, cut up a sweet pepper and used a homemade cheddar garlic drop biscuit recipe. This would be good with left over beef also, switch out cream of mushroom soup and beef broth. I see a roast in my near future.

Sure, that’s what it’s for, not it’s buttery goodness.
Seriously though, recipe came out perfect, so good. I added the optional cheese to the biscuit mix (about 3/4 cup- 1/2 didn’t seem like enough) and it was delicious. Mine looks almost identical to the picture in your article.

So glad you loved it Chris! Thanks for the glowing review.

Hi-
I'm trying a vegetarian version of this using soy chikn strips and mushroom soup.
At what step should the following ingredients be added? It's not clear in your instructions.
salt and pepper to taste
0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
0.5 teaspoon onion powder
Thanks.

So far so good but had kinda a stand off with my bf bc he thinks bc ur recipe doesn’t say to add cheddar to the mix that it didn’t need it. I say it did but bc it says it on the cheddar biscuit box lol… and that it didn’t mention it in recipe for that reason. Maybe a mistake or nah I’m not sure…so my comment is more a question lol. Is it supposed to have cheddar cheese in the red lobster mix before I pour it over the chicken and peas or Nah? Plz help me win this debate bc I hate being wrong too lol. Thanks and I’m sure it’s gonna be great either way. 🥰
