    Watermelon Sorbet Ninja Creami

    Jump to Recipe Print Recipe

This spicy watermelon sorbet is made in the Ninja Creami and it is perfect for a hot summer day.

You can make this easy watermelon sorbet and leave the spicy ingredients out if you prefer, you can customize this to your liking.

The Ninja Creami is an ice cream and sorbet maker that is great to make your own frozen treats at home, from ice cream to protein ice cream or just fruit based frozen treats.

One of my favorite CREAMi™recipes is this Viral Cottage Cheese ice cream; it is high protein, ultra creamy and tastes like cheesecake.

    Ingredient list

You will need just one ingredient for this recipe and a handful of optional toppings.

    • Fresh watermelon: Pick a ripe, sweet watermelon and you will not need to add any sweeteners to this recipe.
    • Chamoy: Chamoy is a Mexican chile syrup that is sweet and spicy. It is delicious and not overpowering.
    • Chile lime powder: Tajin is the most popular brand and it adds a bit more spicy notes to the sorbet, I used it to dip my glass rim and to garnish the sorbet.
    • Lime zest: I love to add lime zest on top to brighten up all the flavors.

    Recipe instructions

You will start by juicing the watermelon using a high speed blender or a juicer.

If your watermelon is not very sweet, you can add simple syrup, honey or maple syrup to sweeten up your watermelon juice.

Freeze the juice in the Ninja CREAMi™ container per machine instructions.

The next day prepare your toppings and glass; zest the lime, add the Tajin to your glass rim and drizzle Chamoy on your glass.

Spin the Ninja CREAMi™ on the sorbet setting for 1 full cycle.

Add a bit of Chamoy to the sorbet and re-spin the Ninja CREAMi™ on the mix-ins cycle.

Scoop the sorbet on your prepared glasses and enjoy.

    Serving suggestions

I love to serve this spicy watermelon sorbet topped with more Tajin, lemon zest and Chamoy.

If you prefer a non-spicy sorbet, leave out the Tajin and Chamoy. Use some honey or maple syrup to drizzle on top and garnish with lemon zest.

I like to enjoy this sweet treat immediately. If you wave any leftover, you can refreeze it in the Ninja CREAMi™ container and re spin it when ready to enjoy it again.

If you love watermelon recipes, consider making this easy watermelon lemonade with basil.
